Jody accepted Christ as a teenager.  Youth group trips to inner-city Detroit and Cleveland as well as to rural Appalachia sparked her interest in missions.  The Lord used the experience of a benign brain tumor and several short-term medical missions trips to lead Jody to serve Him full-time as a medical missionary.

Jody first worked to establish a community health evangelism ministry in Reynosa, on the Texas-Mexico border.  Through this ministry, community health evangelists learn to share both their faith as well as basic health skills with their neighbors so that individual lives, families, and even communities may be transformed by Christ.

Later Jody worked with Medical Ambassadors International (later called LifeWind International) training and encouraging ministries in Mexico and the Caribbean.  She relocated further into Mexico, to Zihuatanejo, north of Acapulco, to help establish the ministry there.  She served as the Area Coordinator for Mexico for several years, training and encouraging community health evangelism ministries throughout Mexico. She currently works with Global CHE Network as a CHE consultant and is in charge of curriculum development and Children’s CHE.
