Luis Palau’s Next Generation Alliance® launched Arise Uganda in July, 2004 as an outreach in partnership with Africa Renewal Ministry. In just one month, 15 cities were reached through 12 evangelists and their teams. Christians were trained in friendship evangelism and how to lead people to Christ; IDP camps were reached with the Gospel; medical clinics brought relief from physical ailments; conferences equipped church leaders to a new level of ministry; and children’s programs, sports clinics, and competitions brought fun for the youth. After Arise Uganda: 2005-2007

No one could anticipate what would happen after Arise Uganda. But, in the three years that followed, at least eight of the original teams returned to Uganda to expand upon the work that had been started. Schools were founded and buildings constructed; trainings were conducted in ethnic reconciliation; sports teams and medical camps ministered throughout many cities; Ugandan evangelists were encouraged, trained, equipped, and many proceeded to start churches throughout the nation. All figures below* are in addition to the Arise Uganda results, above:• People reached with the Gospel (including IDP camps and previously un-reached people groups): 250,000 • Recorded decisions for Jesus Christ: 34,000 • Missions reaching one city at a time: 23 • Churches started: 100 • Food distributed: tons • Water wells dug: 20* NGA evangelists have also ministered in several other African nations including Congo, Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania, results from which are NOT reported here. All in AllAs a result of Arise Uganda and the subsequent work there, more than 610,000 people have heard the Good News of Jesus Christ, and 66,000 publicly responded to the Gospel!
