Growing up, I had great examples of what it meant to be Christian, my parents. My two brothers and I were adopted at an early age and could not have asked for a better family. My parents had adopted the three of us and had foster children as well when we were young. God chose all of us to end up together and His plan for my life began the minute I was born.
I came to know Christ at an early age and my parents instilled core values that have stuck with me in life. The road has not been easy, and I have not always chosen the right road...but I’m on my way! During my high school years, my faith started out strong and then I put God on hold for a long time as I was working toward my plan for my life.
There was a lot to be learned and God was waiting for the perfect time after my college graduation to tell me, ‘Katie...my road is over here’. I realized that following God’s plan for my life would be ten times better than anything I had planned and I was ready at that moment to follow His plan for my life! I’m so thankful that I am a Christian because I honestly do not know where I would be without that stronghold.
