From April to July 1994, one of the most horrifying events in modern history occurred as nearly one million Rwandan people were killed in the span of 100 days.

This July, 2008, two NGA evangelists participated in a collaborative event in Rwanda in partnership with Hope Rwanda and Africa New Life Ministries.The goal of the mission was to bring hope and peace through Jesus Christ during the same time period of the genocide.

In the cities of Kayonza, Nyamata and Kigali, NGA evangelists P.J. Meduri and Will Connor shared the Gospel with more than 37,000 people. Of those, more than 1,300 recorded decisions for Jesus Christ. In addition to festival evangelism, P.J. and Will preached at prisons, universities and churches.

In Rwanda, the period between April and July is a time of remembrance for those who lost their lives in the genocide. For the next three years, NGA will be having additional collaborative events during this time to bring hope, healing and restoration through Jesus Christ.
